Hello everyone!
What a week it’s been here at JTH Electrics—we’ve been busier than a DIY dad with a new tool belt (but with slightly better results ).
Let’s take a little stroll through our week, shall we?
Smoke Alarms – Because Toast Shouldn’t Trigger the Fire Brigade
We started the week with smoke alarms—essential kit for keeping everyone safe and catching overenthusiastic attempts at gourmet cooking. Installed a few of those little lifesavers. They’re like nosey neighbours with a siren… but helpful!
Extractor Fans & Towel Rails – Spa Vibes Incoming

Then it was into bathrooms—extractor fans to keep the steam where it belongs (anywhere but on your freshly painted ceiling), and towel rails to give towels that warm hug they deserve after a long soak. Honestly, they should call them “towel thrones.”
Floodlights – Let There Be Light (And Then Some)
Next up: floodlights! We lit up a garden so well, even the foxes need sunglasses. Security? ✅ Ambience? ✅ Neighbours mildly blinded? Possibly. Sorry, Dave.
Bedrooms & Trunking – Socket to Me
We added sockets in bedrooms, neatly run in trunking. Practical, tidy, and no more crawling under the bed to plug in your phone charger. You’re welcome, knees of Britain.
️The Big One: Armoured Cable on a Barn

Finished the week off on a high with some armoured cable work at a small stables. Horses watched closely—possibly impressed, possibly judging. Hard to tell. Either way, the barn’s now got power, and I got my daily 10,000 steps just walking back and forth to the van for tools I swore I already brought in.
Loft Light – A Lightbulb Moment in the Attic

Installed a simple switch-and-bulb loft light for a customer this week. No more fumbling around with a torch in your teeth, trying to find the Christmas decorations or that suitcase you think you stored in 2009. Now you can see all the things you forgot you owned… in HD.
Kitchen Refit – From “Why’s That Socket There?” to “Ooh, Fancy!”

Wrapped up a kitchen refit too—moving cables, shifting sockets, and giving the space a proper glow-up. Kitchens are the heart of the home, so we made sure this one didn’t have a dodgy heartbeat. It now has enough power points to handle everything from a kettle to a small spaceship. NASA, give us a call.
So that’s another week wrapped up at JTH Electrics. Whether it’s something as small as a socket or as big as lighting up a barn, we’ve got you covered (and probably laughing a bit too).
Stay safe, stay warm, and don’t ignore that beeping smoke alarm—it’s not trying to start a band.
Catch you next week!
