Hello, valued customers of JTH Electrics! Let’s dive into the details:

Monday: We kicked off the week with a productive day. First, we wired up some sockets in a summer house, ensuring that our customers will have all the power they need in this additional space. We also replaced old halogen recessed lights in a dining room with new, energy-efficient LED lights. This not only brightens up the room but also saves on energy bills. In the bathroom, we installed an extractor fan to prevent mold buildup – an important step for maintaining a healthy and mold-free environment. After that, we set up a supply for a shower pump in a cupboard. Last but not least, we second fixed a kitchen renovation project in collaboration with Renobuild UK.

Tuesday: This day turned out to be quite the adventure. We began by installing a new consumer unit, only to discover that the existing wiring was dangerously old and deteriorating. Safety is paramount, so we had to discuss and plan for a complete rewiring of the property. In the afternoon, Steve and Harry took care of a couple of small jobs, including fitting new lights.
Wednesday: Our Wednesday was filled with a variety of tasks. We installed another bathroom extractor fan, ensuring proper ventilation in this critical area. Additionally, we provided power to an outside socket for convenience. In the afternoon, we replaced an old halogen outside light with a modern LED floodlight equipped with a PIR sensor, making outdoor areas more secure and energy-efficient. We also fixed a tripping problem and installed a new transformer for an under-cupboard light, ensuring optimal lighting in the kitchen.

Thursday: We started the day with a new consumer unit installation, followed by remedial works to ensure safety and compliance. Then, we replaced a light in a bedroom and installed new LED recessed lights in a customer’s kitchen. We also upgraded a single socket to a double, providing more convenient power access.
Friday: With our apprentices at college, Steve and I had a busy day. We began with new socket faces, an extractor fan, and the removal of two lights for a customer who’s preparing to move house. Steve then went on to install replacement smoke and heat alarms, enhancing safety. Meanwhile, I installed a new light in a hallway and solved an issue for an elderly gentleman whose first-floor lights weren’t working – loose wires were the culprit. Remember, loose wires can lead to fires, so always address electrical issues promptly. We continued the day by fitting a replacement outside wall light and installing a new bollard post for a customer who had accidentally broken the previous one. Lastly, we assisted a customer who had attempted to replace two-way lighting switches in their house but encountered wiring challenges.
This is what we found and rectified at one property this week.
