A Week in the Life of JTH Electrics: Recent Projects and Expert Solutions

Playroom Electrics – First Fix
This week, we kicked off work on an exciting playroom project. When it comes to spaces designed for kids, ensuring safety is our top priority. During the first fix, we installed essential cabling, safe socket placements, and added robust lighting points, ensuring everything is secure and up to regulation. As we move to the next stage, we’ll be adding switches, sockets, and lighting that are both child-friendly and durable—perfect for all the playing, learning, and creativity this space will inspire.
Immersion Heater Timer Installation
We also helped a homeowner take control of their water heating costs with an immersion heater timer. This straightforward addition allows them to set heating periods, avoiding unnecessary energy use and cutting down on bills. Not only does this add convenience, but it also supports energy efficiency—a small adjustment that can make a noticeable difference!
New Build in Marlow – First Fix
Another highlight was our work on a new build in Marlow, where we completed the first fix for the entire electrical setup. It’s always rewarding to be part of a new project from the ground up. We focused on planning the cabling, positioning for sockets, and establishing dedicated circuits for key areas like the kitchen and bathrooms. This project is a reminder of the importance of a solid electrical foundation, ensuring the home’s electrics are safe, reliable, and future-ready.
Outdoor Lighting Installation
Finally, we wrapped up an outdoor lighting job, adding a touch of elegance and functionality to a client’s garden area. Outdoor lights don’t just improve curb appeal; they boost security and make those evening hours more enjoyable. We set up a series of energy-efficient LED lights, with carefully planned angles for optimal illumination, giving the space a warm, inviting glow without excessive energy costs.
